Brownie ala Mode

Me and my workmates came up with the idea to make Brownie ala mode. Because the company I worked for before, offers free ice cream, (How good is that huh?!). So I volunteered to cook the brownies at home. And we just added ice cream and toppings in the office.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup butter or 2 sticks, and leave a tablespoon of butter for the pan
  • 3/4 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla

PROCEDURE:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking pan with paper lining or spread butter on the sides to avoid the brownies from sticking.

  2. Chocolate mixture: Melt butter, chocolate chips and the cocoa powder together. Set aside.brownie chocolate mixtureChocolate mixture
  3. Flour  mixture: Sift the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) and whisk them all together.
  4. Egg mixture: In a bowl, beat sugar, eggs and vanilla together in medium speed until sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Slowly add the chocolate in the egg mixture. Then add the flour mixture and continue beating.
  6. Pour over the brownie mixture on the prepared baking pan. And bake for 30 – 40 minutes.
  7. You can check if brownies are done, by sticking a toothpick on it and if it comes out smooth without crumbs.
