Me and my workmates came up with the idea to make Brownie ala mode. Because the company I worked for before, offers free ice cream, (How good is that huh?!). So I volunteered to cook the brownies at home. And we just added ice cream and toppings in the office.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup butter or 2 sticks, and leave a tablespoon of butter for the pan
- 3/4 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
PROCEDURE:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking pan with paper lining or spread butter on the sides to avoid the brownies from sticking.
- Chocolate mixture: Melt butter, chocolate chips and the cocoa powder together. Set aside.
Chocolate mixture - Flour  mixture: Sift the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) and whisk them all together.
- Egg mixture: In a bowl, beat sugar, eggs and vanilla together in medium speed until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Slowly add the chocolate in the egg mixture. Then add the flour mixture and continue beating.
- Pour over the brownie mixture on the prepared baking pan. And bake for 30 – 40 minutes.
- You can check if brownies are done, by sticking a toothpick on it and if it comes out smooth without crumbs.
